Vacation Doodle Book
Help me find a novel like Mark Haddon’s style /Jonathan Tropper book covers I’m searching for..?
Okay, so during my vacation I went abroad and visited a bookstore where I of course checked out the English book section, where a rather interesting novel caught my eye. It was larger than a regular sized novel, (A4 sized) and you could compare the cover designs to those of Jonathan Tropper, especially the creme-coloured/offwhite one of ‘This Is Where I Leave You’.
Inside the book were scribbled little drawings or doodles every now and then, probably to illustrate the story, kind of how Mark Haddon does in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time as well.
I really don’t remember anything else about it, as I only quickly flipped through it, but now heavily regret not having bought it. So if someone could please help me?
The only book I can think of which combines the two features you describe is “Extremely loud and incredibly close” by Jonathan Safran Foer — but I can’t recall if there’s an A4 edition of that.
